François Le Moine has experience in commercial litigation and

administrative procedures in a wide variety of contexts before

courts and administrative tribunals in first instance and on appeal.

Representative Mandates

  • Involved in the representation of one of the parties in a $127-million lawsuit regarding sums that were allegedly misappropriated in relation to construction projects in Libya.

  • Involved in the representation of the Chambre des notaires du Québec in obtaining Anton Piller, Mareva, and Norwich orders against a former notary who had divested significant sums from his clients.

  • Involved in the representation of the Chambre des notaires du Québec in proceedings regarding the constitutionality of a section of the Code of Civil Procedure.

  • Involved in the representation of the Union Tank Car Company (UTCC), a subsidiary of the Berkshire Hathaway Group, in the restructuring of Montreal, Maine & Atlantic Railway following the Lac Mégantic tragedy, which included a $430-million settlement of the class action instituted on behalf of the victims.
